Top Picks For Refreshing Your Bed Linens To Love Your Bedroom Again

Whether it’s sleeping, reading or watching tv, most of us spend at least eight hours in our beds each day. Your bed is a place you should refresh every once in a while and spend a little extra money to make it the best it can be! I have just renovated my bathroom (more to come on that soon) and now I am restyling our bedroom, too! Here are some things to keep in mind when restyling your bedroom and items I love.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

Comfort!!! There are only a few places where I prioritize comfort over style; with sofas and bedding! Comfortable sheets are a must along with a medium weight comforter that will please both me and my husband. I am not a fan of duvet covers because I want something that can be easily washed (hello dogs on the bed). For that reason, I prefer a down alternative filler. Don’t be afraid of the term “duvet filler,” for many brands it just means white comforter and you don’t need to put in in a cover. Check out these awesome comforters from Pottery Barn below:

For sheets, I use these ones from Peacock Alley and I love them! Sometimes I find them at Tuesday Morning for a great deal.

MAKE IT PRETTY

Annalise and I both favor white comforters on beds. They make the perfect backdrop for adding any color you want in the shams, spread or pillows. White bedding creates a relaxing and neutral space, perfect for a bedroom! At the foot of the bed we typically go for a quilt or bedspread to add layers and a pop of color. Even a monochromatic color scheme benefits from the addition of a quilt. For my my bed, I will go for a light neutral bedspread in a tan, gray or blue because this is my dogs favorite place to be!!! :). I found a wonderful Pottery Barn quilt that comes in 25 colors!!! I linked it below. Again, it is so easy to wash a bedspread when needed. Of course, to complete the cozy and luxurious feel, pillows are a must! I add white shams and throw pillows with a bit of color or pattern to them. Check out our blog post here on some of our favorite places to get beautiful throw pillows.

Even though most people will never even see your bedroom, there is just something about having a beautiful and comfortable space to relax in after a long day.

Talk soon, Jenna
